Before 1962 Season: Signed by the Los Angeles Angels as an amateur free agent.
November 25, 1969: Traded by the California Angels with Pedro Borbon and Vern Geishert to the Cincinnati Reds for Alex Johnson and Chico Ruiz.

ANGELS DEBUT:
As the Angels starting pitcher the first batter he faced was Luis Aparicio who flied out to right. He went 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 8 hits with 3 strikeouts ending up with the loss in a 4-2 victory for the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, September 20, 1965 (D) at Chavez Ravine.

ANGELS RECORD:
In 133 games (110 starts) he won 33 and lost 43, had 7 shutouts and 22 complete games with a 3.37 ERA.
Led the AL in shutouts (6) in 1967.

Best Angels Performance:
Threw a complete game 2-hitter against the Washington Senators on Sunday, May 7, 1967 (D) at Anaheim Stadium.
